Christopher was born on the Island of O’ahu and grew up in the rainforest. He attended Punahou School in Honolulu and then completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia University in the City of New York. His life’s work has been focused on preserving the culture he grew up within the Hawaiian Islands.
Christopher has given years of his life to international aid work, which informed his innovations around circular economies and community resilience. Since then, he and his family have been heavily invested in data and food systems in Hawai’i and rural education in West Africa.
Christopher is a passionate conservationist, lover of nature, and photographer who has been supporting coral reef restoration efforts in Hawai’i and beyond. As a photographer, he documented coral restoration projects, has been a witness to global environmental devastation, and has understood the transformational impact of reconnecting humanity with nature.
